A start time of 10:00 AM at the Florence Rd. trailhead. Distance of perhaps 30-40 miles has been suggested. Any comments, or suggestions are appreciated. Let's see if we can get a good turn out and show our appreciation for the efforts of at least this one person that was willing to make the sacrifice. This will also mark the return of one the FORUMS most colorful and charismatic personalities! I have received a confirmation from none other than...... well, perhaps y'all will just need to show up and see for yourself who is coming out of retirement for this event. I would be there however, as usual, all SCT events are on the weekends I have to work. One of these days I'll actually say more to other riders then "passing on your left". I suggest you hang the American flag on your bikes. Show your patriotism. Bentman

I HOPE SO. After all, I'm no spring chicken anymore myself. List is starting to grow. BIGgggggg Jeeeeeeyum, CHANCE, Tinman, "mystery rider" SARGE ( guest of honor) and myself. Lets really make this a good turn out in support of those that have served and still serving. Regardless of where you stand on the issue, let's at least support the men and women there. Perhaps we can stop for lunch on our return trip. There are places relatively easy to access on bikes in Hiram & Powder Springs as I recall. There is a mexican place in Powder Springs that is good and just off the SCT. BTW, my 23yo son Jeff was commissioned a 2nd Lt in the Army last Wednesday. He is to attend formal training at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio this coming September. See you folks later. Welcome back Sarge! Alan

As a 20 Army Sergeant, I used to really have fun with 2LTs. I'm not sure if Mexican food is such a good idea. Although that too could be fun while riding.
