What is the nature area called just past the bridge on the left when heading west from Mavell?? While walking today, we walked down to find the 2 crumbling
structures with steel reinforcement. Was this a mill or a factory? Is that a creek or river behind it? I've ridden the trail for over 10years, but never
walked down in that area.

Here's the answer....it's Heritage Park and it was an old mill. The entrance on the SCT is actually the back end of the park and thus no signs.

Of Note: During the War of Northern Aggression, the mill manufactured uniforms for Confederate soldiers.
