Rosedale Road Hazardous Intersection

Ok, so nobody has posted in a while....here is a new topic. Is Rosedale Road the most dangerous intersection on the trail or what???? Any news about a light or bridge/tunnel for that spot? With curves on both sides, it's very difficult to see vehicles until it's almost too late!!

Rent a TALL roadbike???

I am looking for a TALL roadbike rental next week (Feb 4 - . Any ideas on where to find one? The rider coming in from out of town normally rides a 62 frame (sometimes 60), and the depot only carries 58.

Due to a shift in family priorities and lack of garage space I am selling my moniker inspiration, my 2001 RANS Tailwind. $1049 list when they stopped production (2006 I believe), I paid $700 3 years ago and am asking for half that, $350. In very good shape, minor cosmetic dings, mesh seat back partially ripped but does not affect comfort or ride. Great starter or intermediate recumbent bike. WIll sell as is with front and rear production racks and underseat homemade...

Has anyone riden the mountain bike trail that runs along side of the SCT starting near Hiram? I noticed it on and off as I rode towards Rockmart.

What is the nature area called just past the bridge on the left when heading west from Mavell?? While walking today, we walked down to find the 2 crumbling structures with steel reinforcement. Was this a mill or a factory? Is that a creek or river behind it? I've ridden the trail for over 10years, but never walked down in that area.

Browse through the different windows and see what is available.
It appears that the average bear will now be able to start a PHOTO ALBUM and make it easier to post photos.

Im sorry if this is a repeat of similar request. My wife and I live in Greenville SC and would like to spend a few days along the trail. I like to ride long distances while my wife is happy doing 15 to 20 miles. I was hoping someone could give me a town that is along the trail where on the first day we both could ride (15 to 20 miles) and the second I would do a long ride while my wife shops. Any towns you might suggest?

Where To Find Accurate Mile Marker Info?

Yesterday I rode from the Grady Road parking lot to the East side of the trestle & back on my new bike. I think this is 45.85 miles, but does anyone know how I can find a list of detailed mile markers - not just markers at the major points?

It seems like the turnaround point - on the East side of the trestle - is at mile marker 22.89 ? Can anyone verify this?

I think it would be great to have a Google map showing all the mile markers at all points of interest...

I have just begun riding bike traisl in Georgia and love the Silver Comet. I have also been riding around the neighborhood and in other states on vacation.
I am in good shape 6'1 about 205 and would like to take up bike riding more and more.

The big question is what type of bike should I get? I don't want the speed so much as the longer distances.
Do I want a hybird? How much should I spend and what bike would you guys recommend?

My husband and I rode east out of Rockmart this morning for our first ride on this section of the trail. It was so beautiful! We enjoyed the cleanliness of the trail as well as the scenery and the wide trail. What a great trail! Too bad we had to drive 1 1/2 hours to get there though.

This is the first time I have recieved messages from users that I didn't even recognize asking not to close, especially those looking for info on the Chief Ladiga Trail.
Also, with depotmechanics help as a new moderator, should he decide to accept this mission, we will try again.
Turns out, Scott was the "something drastic", I was hoping would come along.
